Future Contribution Changes - March 1, 2023

March 1, 2023

Every month we review over 60 asset allocation categories.

We then tell our clients how to change their “Future Contributions”; which is money going into the 401k / 403b with each paycheck, given the current markets.

We look to find categories “on sale” (and expected to stay that way for 30 - 60 days).

Last month (February) it was easier to find categories “on sale” as almost every category, with the exception of the eight below, posted negative returns.

  1. Systematic Trend

  2. Industrials

  3. Small Value

  4. Small Blend

  5. Financial

  6. Small Growth

  7. Ultrashort Bond

  8. Technology

The S&P 500 (at the time of this writing on 2/27/23) was down 1% for the past 4 weeks.

The optimism of January has faded in February.

This month we are instructing our clients to use the following three categories for their future contributions in March:

  • High Yield Bonds

  • Small Growth

  • Technology

The exact funds to use and percentages for each have been uploaded to the Participant Dashboards for each of our clients. If you are a current client of ours, please log in to your Participant Dashboard to see your personalized and ongoing advice.

If you are not a client of ours, please click the “Learn More” form above and we will get you information on how you too can have confidence in your plans!

Stay confident my friends!
